MPRP dependants: what a spouse, children and parents each add

Family size moves an MPRP total less than people expect, with one exception: adult dependants who are not the spouse.
The two charges that vary with family size
- €500 residence card, per person. Charged for everyone on the application and covering five years. A spouse and two children add €1,500.
- €7,500 per adult dependant, excluding the spouse. The Agency's wording is explicit that the spouse is outside this fee. Parents, grandparents and adult children are inside it.
Both figures are published by the Residency Malta Agency (residencymalta.gov.mt). Nothing else in the government schedule changes with family size: the €60,000 administrative fee, the €37,000 contribution and the €2,000 NGO donation are per application.

Four generations, one application
The Agency lists the possibility to include up to four generations in one application among the programme's benefits. That is what makes the €7,500 line matter: a family bringing two sets of parents adds €32,000 before anyone counts cards. Whether a particular relative qualifies as a dependant is an eligibility question for your Licensed Agent, not a pricing one.
The calculator treats children and adult dependants separately for exactly this reason. If you are unsure which category a relative falls into, model both.
